Overview
Main Street Childrens Dentistry & Orthodontics of Winter Park is hiring a Traveling Orthodontic Assistant to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment ensuring a seamless and professional experience for both staff and patients.
Pay-rate $19.00-$23.00. Candidates must be EFDA certified in FL; Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Status: Full-Time Traveling to Winter Park location Tuesdays & Thursdays (off on Wednesdays)
Position Overview:
As an Orthodontic Assistant you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care by assisting the doctor in orthodontic procedures treatment planning and patient education. You will help maintain a well-organized practice by preparing treatment rooms sterilizing instruments assisting in procedures and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
- Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms sterilize instruments and assist dentists during procedures.
- Patient Care: Welcome comfort and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays assist with impressions and maintain study models.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols maintain patient confidentiality and follow workplace regulations..
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
- Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification emergency drug and oxygen supply and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience as an orthodontics Assistant
- Strong organizational and problem solving-skills
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Must be able to travel to our sister office: Main Street Childrens Dentistry & Orthodontics of Orange City Tuesdays & Thursdays (travel reimbursement included)
- Must be EFDA certified in FL
