Position Summary
We are searching for an entry level Employee Benefit Services Associate who would handle enrollment eligibility and billing for group and retirement plans for our members answer calls from internal staff and cooperative benefit administrators with a wide range of inquiries and needs primarily related to NRECAs group benefit and retirement plans and correspond to benefit administrators.
This position offers employees a hybrid work schedule with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home M-F 8:15 a.m. 5:00 p.m. 100% remote work isnt an option.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in business
Experience in duties related to insurance/retirement plans desired.
Required Qualifications and Skills
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
One year experience in a telephone customer service position OR 6-months in a telephone customer service combined with a bachelors degree in business.
A knowledge of group benefits including group insurance policies.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Must be able to work 8:15 5:00 p.m. and work a hybrid schedule (2 days in the office 3 days at home) post-training. 100% remote work isnt an option.
Essential Physical Requirements
Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; documentation; and viewing a computer screen.
If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time the job is rated for light work.
