About SPG:

Specialty Program Group (SPG) is the wholesale & MGA division of HUB International. SPG acts in a holding company capacity acquiring best in class underwriting businesses to operate independently under distinct brands (portfolio companies).

Overview:
Insurance Allies is seeking a driven and personable insurance professional to join our team on a part-time basis. This individual will be responsible for proactively soliciting insurance business across multiple industriesincluding sports and entertainmentby leveraging various outreach channels. The ideal candidate is self-motivated highly organized and capable of managing the entire sales and servicing process independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively generate new business opportunities through outreach via phone email blogging and social media.
  • Identify and connect with prospects across multiple industries not limited to sports and entertainment.
  • Build strong relationships with insurance carriers and wholesalers to understand their underwriting appetites and align proposals accordingly.
  • Manage the full sales cycle including:
    • Prospect outreach and lead generation
    • Data collection and entry into the Agency Management System
    • Completion of ACORD applications
    • Marketing coordination with carriers
    • Policy placement and proposal presentations
    • Handling binding processes including invoicing and/or setting up financing through First Insurance Funding
    • Maintaining and servicing your own book of business

Qualifications:

  • Active P&C license in all 50 states (required)
  • Solid knowledge of key insurance lines including but not limited to:
    • General Liability (incl. Host Liquor)
    • Property (Building Contents Build-Out Plate Glass Signage Equipment Breakdown Business Interruption)
    • Liquor Liability
    • Auto Liability including Hired & Non-Owned Auto
    • Workers Compensation
    • EPLI Employee Benefits Liability
    • Sexual Abuse/Molestation & Assault & Battery
    • D&O Professional Liability
    • A thorough reading of policy forms including EXCLUSIONS and understanding the impact on insurance policies-while relaying accordingly to the insured
  • Confident communicator not afraid to make cold outreach
  • Excellent organizational skills precision and detail are a must
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
  • Team player who contributes positively to company culture

The compensation for this position is a variable comp structure. As such the total salary paid will vary directly depending on the successful candidates book of business at any particular time. Compensation could be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills experience and working location as well as the specific positions business line scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance FSA HSA and 401(k) accounts paid-time-off benefits and eligible bonuses equity and/or commissions for some positions.

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Up to 25%

Required Education: Bachelors degree (4-year degree)
