Job Description
St. Simon School on the northeast side of Indianapolis is seeks to hire a dedicated and faith-filled Elementary Teacher to join our vibrant Catholic school community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and committed to nurturing the academic spiritual and personal growth of each student in a Christ-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging standards-based lessons across core subject areas
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values throughout the curriculum
- Create a supportive and respectful classroom environment that promotes student learning and character development
- Assess and monitor student progress providing regular feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with fellow teachers administrators and parents to support student success
- Participate in school-wide religious activities including Masses prayer services and faith formation
- Serve as a positive role model and witness to the Catholic faith
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education or related field (Masters degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification appropriate for elementary level
- Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred
- Experience in a classroom setting ideally in a Catholic or faith-based school
- Strong classroom management communication and organizational skills
