Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

CBRSD is seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as Principal of Wahconah Regional High School effective July 2025. Under the direction of the Superintendent the Principal will manage the day-to-day operations of WRHS and provide instructional leadership that is evidence-based and supports high expectations for all. The ideal candidate will be an experienced building administrator and should have demonstrated success in strengthening Tier I curriculum and instruction while implementing targeted tiered interventions. We are seeking a leader who can connect our Portrait of a Graduate attributes to the everyday experiences of our students to ensure successful college and career outcomes for all CBRSD students.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote a safe inclusive and respectful school climate that ensures all students belong.
  • Serve as a liaison between WRHS families community organizations and district leadership.
  • Oversee student support services including special education guidance health and behavioral interventions; help develop a new Student Support Center.
  • Manage school operations including scheduling budgeting facilities and compliance with district policies.
  • Collaborate with and evaluate professional staff.
  • Develop implement and evaluate student programming that supports equitable services for all students.
  • Analyzes data identifies trends to ensure high-quality educational opportunities for all students. Improve instruction for students through the use of systematic assessment collection and analysis of data. Inform instructional and organizational decisions.
  • Provides leadership for collaboration among staff to ensure that resources and support are prioritized to meet individual school needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A valid Massachusetts Principal/Assistant Principal license.
  • Masters Degree in Education Educational Leadership or related field (required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience (secondary level preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years building-level administrative experience (preferred).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development instructional best practices and student assessment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students staff families and the broader community.
  • Strong understanding of student support student discipline procedures and implementing successful tiered interventions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students staff families and the community.
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills; well-organized and experienced in facilitating group decision-making and communication.
  • Broad working knowledge of child development equity and inclusion social emotional learning learning theory curriculum research testing and measurement data analysis strategic planning and personnel practices.
  • Experience with staff supervision evaluation and professional development.

CONTRACT/SALARY:

Multi-year administrative contract with salary to be negotiated based on experience ($120000 - $130000)

ANTICIPATED STARTING DATE:

July 1 2025
