Job Summary
Somerset Community College is accepting applications for a Financial Specialist III position. This position will perform budget analyst duties to provide timely and accurate financial data to college administration.
Job Duties:
Create and distribute various financial data analysis spreadsheets
Prepare various monthly account reconciliations
Monitor daily Failing Journal Report research issues and correct as needed
Audit payroll reports for budget check and accuracy
Monitor post-distribution reports and general ledger for accuracy and vacancy credit
Conduct cost/benefit and other types of analyses
Estimate and forecast future financial need
Perform various accounting duties such as journal entries and budget transfers
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (related field) and four years of related work experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with advanced Excel skills and a minimum of three years of direct experience with financial and other data analyses within the past five years.
