Job Description
Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Network Automation Engineer (Python).
This position sits within the Secure Network Services (SNS) team within the Technology division. This position will work closely with the network architecture team engineering build and run teams. This position is responsible for providing expert technical services in relation to implementing managing operating and supporting high performance technology infrastructure.
In the Build and Automation role responsibilities include driving network transformation through traffic and routing automation strategic infrastructure enablement and developing an automation roadmap. The role also focuses on identifying and automating manual change processes to enhance efficiency.
What do I need
Essential:
- Strong automation focus Python experience is a must.
- In-depth technical networking automation experience 5 years.
- Experience with version control - Github Bitbucket.
- Experience with CI/CD Pipelines - Jenkins Github Actions.
- Experience with network automation frameworks 1 or 2 of the following - PyATS Ansible Nornir Netmiko ROBOT Framework.
Highly Desirable:
- Strong technical knowledge in VxLAN EVPN or related overlay technology.
- Strong technical knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching (BGPOSPFSTPNXOSN9K).
- Good understanding of Orchestration platforms (NDFCDCNM).
- Vendor certification: CCNP or CCIE.
- Good technical knowledge of Firewalls (Juniper high-end SRX CheckPoint Fortinet NSX).
Desirable:
- An understanding of ITIL processes (particularly change management) and ServiceNow in a large enterprise.
- An understanding of Cloud networking Azure/AWS.
- Strong technical knowledge of Load Balancing (F5 LTM GTM APM ASM) Crypto PKI and DNS.
