Job Description

We are currently hiring a Steam Generator Field Service Technician Level I on our Outage and Maintenance Services team. This individual will provide steam generator field services at remote operating nuclear power plants and service center operations utilizing high technology service equipment and in a manner reflecting Westinghouses commitment to the highest level of quality.

WORKING PROCEDURE AND/OR RESPONSIBILITY ASSIGNED:

Set up operate maintain and troubleshoot steam generator field service equipment at customer sites using but not limited to cleaning processes NDE technology robotic systems and computer networks. Perform Service Center support functions including service equipment maintenance and check out equipment and facility decontamination equipment packing and unpacking shipment preparation material handling and calibration activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and connect control boxes. Direct the running of cables and staging equipment.
  • Lead the installation and set-up of sludge lance equipment.
  • Operate the sludge lance trailer and system.
  • Troubleshoot the equipment and processes associated with secondary side services.
  • When required perform Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) monitoring in accordance with approved procedures.

This position requires extensive travel (30%) maintenance of Unescorted Access status and working with hazardous materials.

Who You Are:

  • High school graduate or the recognized equivalent required. Specific knowledge and training in electrical electronic or mechanical curriculum as required as well as knowledge of algebraic formula.
  • 1-3 years related experience; machining electrical or welding is a plus. Additional experience may be substituted for formal education. Years of related experience may be accelerated through demonstration of critical skills.
