JOB SUMMARY:
The job of Counselor includes providing support to students in the instructional process with specific responsibility for providing course curriculum information and recommendations to students and parents; and assisting in the development of goals and plans for achievement. School counselors are responsible to implement a comprehensive school counseling program based on district goals and objectives. They will assist in the development implementation and maintenance of a schools counseling and guidance program to meet the individual and diverse needs of all students through individual planning guidance curriculum and responsive services.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
State of Utah Professional School Counselor License or avalidAssociate SchoolCounselorLicense a valid out of state School Counseling license that will transfer to Utah or will complete a School Counseling program prior to the contract start date that will lead to a Professional Utah School Counselor license or:
2. Professional communication skills including but not limited to: excellent written and verbal communications skills; confident articulate and professional speaking abilities; and emphatic listening and persuasive speaking skills.
