Come work on the Amazon Prime Air Perception Team! The Prime Air team is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a strong results-oriented focus to own and drive the development of our autonomous perception systems. This role will lead programs that expand our operational envelope into challenging conditions like night operations adverse weather (rain snow) and complex environments while simultaneously driving algorithmic efficiency improvements across our perception stack. You will work with teams across Seattle and Europe to: - Drive the technical roadmap for perception capabilities that enable safe autonomous flight in expanding operational conditions - Lead cross-functional programs to optimize perception algorithms for improved efficiency and reduced computational overhead - Coordinate integration of new perception capabilities with broader autonomy systems - Partner with research teams to evaluate and implement cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning approaches - Drive certification efforts for perception systems in accordance with aviation safety standards - Manage technical dependencies and alignment across international engineering teams To be successful you must combine superb technical understanding of computer vision and autonomous systems with demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and collaborating with our research teams across multiple time zones. Were looking for people who innovate and love solving hard problems in perception and autonomous systems. Cross-team coordination project management and executive presentation skills are essential. Knowledge of computer vision machine learning and autonomous systems required. Experience with aerospace certification standards (such as DAL D DO 178C) is a plus. Export Control License This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazons ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
