Job Description
Part Time: 5-20 hrs per week
The Teacher Aide will assist therapists in groups and/or individual treatment settings set up individual and group services at Childrens Community Center and assist with billing functions as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist therapists in groups and/or individual treatment settings as needed.
- Set up individual and group services at Childrens Community Center.
- Assist with billing functions as needed.
- General housekeeping and clerical duties as needed.
- Perform duties to reflect agency and program policies and procedures.
- Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Standard/universal precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk.
- Perform other related work duties as needed or as assigned by supervisor or designee.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree in Early Childhood desired.
- Experience with developmentally delayed 0-3 years old desired.
- Ability to relate and interact with professionals and clients with flexibility and patience.
- Ability to follow instructions and directions.
- Must possess a valid drivers license in state of residence.
- Bilingual speaking individual desired
- Must be able to stoop squat sit or otherwise position self to closely interact with children.
- Must be able to bend reach stretch and participate in play
- On an infrequent basis must be able to respond rapidly to safeguard children during an emergency including thereat of fire disaster or imminent danger. Emergency response may require running carrying or lifting children.
- Must be able to react quickly to prevent injury or harm to a child.
- On a moderate to frequent basis must have the ability to move quickly to reach a child who may need assistance.
