Work with a purpose!Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Imperial Regional Detention Facility in Calexico California. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staffwhile helping non-citizens gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.
What youll do: Detention Officers are responsible for the custody and discipline of non-citizens assigned to the unit.
Essential Functions:
- Search for contraband and provide security.
- Count feed and supervise detainees in housing work and other areas.
- Perform specific security functions including pat and strip searches by squatting and bending to perform such functions.
- Transfer and transport detainees by walking driving or riding in vehicles.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- STC and 832 certifications preferred.
- Prior corrections experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid drivers license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record required unless waived by management.
