Position Overview
QinetiQ US is looking to hire an experienced HVAC Specialist/technician to support Fort Belvoir customer site.
Responsibilities
- Installing maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identifying and diagnosing maintenance risks electrical and mechanical faults and other issues with HVAC systems.
- Performing emergency repairs warranty services and system adjustments and cleaning.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training to other technicians or clients.
- Ensuring compliance with HVAC codes and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Providing excellent customer service and keeping detailed records of work performed.
- Staying current with advances in HVAC technology and best practices.
- Managing inventory of company-provided tools and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret with eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
- High school diploma GED or suitable equivalent.
- 1 year (or 2 years for commercial HVAC) experience as an HVAC technician.
- Valid drivers license and good driving record.
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning refrigeration and heating.
- Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
