We are working on behalf of a leading Am Law 200 firm with over 300 attorneys across 13 offices to recruit a Director of Business Development & Marketing. The Director will drive firmwide business development and marketing initiatives in alignment with the firms strategic goals. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) this position leads a team of practice liaisons and collaborates directly with department chairs business unit leaders and professional staff across the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Strategic Planning: Lead and develop a business development team execute strategic plans aligned with firm goals and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Pitch Proposal & RFP Oversight: Oversee RFPs pitches and proposals streamline processes and templates and coach attorneys and teams through pursuit strategies.
- Business Development & Market Insight: Advise practices on growth strategies collaborate with attorneys to develop tailored BD plans and analyze market trends to identify opportunities.
- Events Integration & Budget Management: Lead strategic events and sponsorships support lateral attorney integration and oversee budgeting and resource allocation.
Credentials and Expertise:
- Educational Background: A bachelors degree is required; an MBA or JD is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of business development marketing or related experience preferably in a law firm or professional services setting.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring teams with strong project and people management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic business development initiatives that drive measurable results.
