You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Chief of Staff Europe will act as a strategic partner to the Group Head of Region (GHoR) enabling effective decision-making driving strategic initiatives and ensuring operational cohesion across FNZs European business. This high-impact role will involve daily interaction with senior leadership across the Group and the region acting as a key conduit between the GHoR and the European Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The role will also lead the Office of the GHoR to enhance performance communication and governance across Europe.
The ideal candidate will be a high-potential individual with a background in consulting private equity investment banking or a Big 4 firm coupled with a proven track record in strategic execution and operational delivery within complex matrixed organisations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
Define and maintain a strategic roadmap for Europe with 1/3/5 year horizons.
Support the GHoR and SLT in articulating and tracking progress against strategic objectives.
Lead special projects and initiatives as delegated by the GHoR.
Drive integration efforts and cross-functional transformation programmes across Europe.
2. Operational Excellence & Governance
Establish and manage operational rhythms and corporate agendas (e.g. SLT meetings quarterly reviews).
Track and coordinate delivery of GHoR and SLT action items to ensure timely execution.
Ensure GHoR meetings are well-prepared documented and actioned.
Maintain high standards in board and shareholder material preparation.
3. Communication & Influence
Act as a facilitator or proxy for the GHoR in internal engagements where needed.
Ensure strategic alignment and consistent messaging across the European region.
Prepare professional insight-driven presentations and reporting for key stakeholders.
4. Data & Insight Leadership
Lead management information (MI) and performance reporting for the GHoR.
Align with Group governance and insight standards to drive effective reporting.
Enable transparent data-driven decision-making across Europe.
5. People Culture & Continuous Improvement
Support people-related initiatives aligned to FNZ values and strategy.
Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives driving efficiency and clarity.
Profile & Experience
Education: Degree qualified; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
Professional Background: Experience in top-tier consultancy private equity investment banking or Big 4.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years in strategic roles within financial services or technology-led sectors.
Proven success in cross-functional leadership and senior stakeholder engagement.
Experience working in complex matrixed and international environments.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication facilitation and influencing skills.
Highly organised with a bias for execution.
Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
