Principal Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks
- You apply object-oriented programming principles in .NET ideally using the latest versions and are confident in using core concepts such as abstraction encapsulation inheritance and polymorphism
- You design and implement robust software architectures using established design patterns and principles like SOLID DDD and Clean Code
- You lead the development of distributed microservices systems ensuring scalability maintainability and performance
- You implement and maintain REST APIs and message-based communication using message brokers ensuring secure and reliable data exchange
- You drive event-driven development and asynchronous communication patterns across services
- You ensure high code quality through comprehensive unit and integration testing including mocking strategies
- You contribute to observability and monitoring strategies to ensure system reliability and transparency
- You work with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes (K8s) and K3s
- You design and optimize data storage solutions using both SQL and NoSQL databases and are familiar with query languages like GraphQL
- You occasionally take over project coordination tasks and support the team in meeting delivery goals without compromising technical quality
- You are available for on-call duties as part of a rotating schedule with the backend team
Your profile
- Education:Completed a degree in Information Technology Engineering
- Experience:Proven experience as a Principal Engineer or in a similar senior technical role with hands-on leadership in distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Technical Knowledge:Deep understanding of software engineering principles architecture patterns and modern development practices
- Personality and working style:Ability to lead by building consensus and guiding others toward technical growth and independence; proactive hands-on and eager to learn
- Language Skills:Excellent English skills both written and spoken
