Responsible for performing professional operating or cost accounting work requiring the standardized application of established
accounting principles theories concepts and practices. Reviews and/or conducts the reconciliation of reports and financial data
identifying or correcting inconsistencies or errors. Oversees or performs accounting analyses such as computing standard ratios;
Assembling and summarizing accounting literature on a given subject ensuring costs are properly allocated to appropriate sources.

Reconcile and resolve vendor statements and resolve vendor issues/concerns. Reconcile PCard statements
process PCard documents and reconcile and process telecommunications invoices. Complete vendor transactions
timely and accurately and assist in day-to-day tasks as needed.
Builds automated validations into reconciliation practices utilizing principles methods and practices of fiscal and
financial record keeping and incorporates technological strategies to increase efficiency utilizing automated
quality control reviews to detect and resolve complex problems.
Prepare training slides and QRGs and work with AWFD to provide agency-wide training for multiple Controllers
Office functions.
Performs a variety of finance and budgeting functions and/or transactions and implements improvements on
reporting communication standards workflow processes and procedures and standard work.
Other duties as assigned as related to the position.
Knowledge of:
- Economic and accounting principles and practices; the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); comprehensive knowledge of the principles concepts practices methods and techniques of government accounting.
- Internal control structures and fiscal management.
- Considerable knowledge of the methods and techniques of automated financial systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of reference materials such as federal regulations Arizona Revised Statutes applicable agency manuals and policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of financial research methodologies; accounting principles.
- Effective database queries and analysis Systems:
- AZ360 Financial
- Arizona Procurement Portal (APP)
- AZ360 Human Resources Management
- SharePoint ADHS Invoice Management System (IMS).
- Performance Management (PM) Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Lean methodologies.
Skill in:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting required; 2 years of experience as an Accountant 1 2 or equivalent.
