Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an Inclusive Learning Collaborator to commence in Term 3 2025 in an initial 12-month contract with opportunities for extension or permanent placement at our Corio campus. The ideal candidate will be a qualified primary teacher with a passion for supporting students with individual learning needs including those with specific learning disorders to achieve their potential and have a proven record of fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Inclusive Learning Collaborator/ Teacher with experience in numeracy and literacy intervention to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning implementing and evaluating evidence-based intervention programs to support students who require additional assistance in literacy and numeracy. The role involves working closely with students teachers and families to foster academic growth and improve learning outcomes.

About the role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and evaluating high-impact evidence-based literacy and numeracy intervention programs
  • Providing targeted small-group and one-on-one instruction to students identified as requiring individual support
  • Conducting assessments to identify students learning needs and monitor progress over time
  • Collaborating with teachers specialists and families to support student learning
  • Working collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide guidance on differentiated instruction and best-practice teaching strategies
  • Providing modelling mentoring and training for classroom support staff and provide training for classroom teachers
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and intervention effectiveness
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in literacy and numeracy instruction
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners

About you:

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A degree in Education (or a related field) with relevant teaching qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering evidence-based literacy and numeracy intervention programs
  • A strong understanding of research-based intervention strategies and assessment tools
  • An ability to work effectively with teachers families and support staff to improve student outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear feedback and progress reports
  • Capacity to tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • A strong understanding of neurodiversity and experience supporting students with specific learning disorders
