Overview
Seeking a new career challenge Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring a Water Program Directorto join our dynamic team at our Virginia Beach VA position reports to the Practice Leader and is responsible for continuing to build our team to win project work locally and to complement Woolperts existing water capabilities throughout the US.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
As a Water Program Directorat Woolpert you will:
- Sales and growth of our Water services in the Virginia Beach Hampton Roads Norfolk area through the establishment or improvement of client relationships.
- Working across practice areas to develop business opportunities and assure services are performed in a manner compatible with Woolperts goal of being an industry leader.
- Builds and enhances existing client relationships to identify and initiate additional project opportunities within the client base for Water and Infrastructure services.
- Identifies and builds new client relationships that match the client and project type focus and overall business strategy.
- Promotes Woolpert as an industry leader for Water service(s) with new and existing clients.
- Performing negotiation of project schedule fee scope and contract terms.
- Mentor technical staff.
- Identify address and resolve any project issues impacting client goals objectives and/or client satisfaction.
- Defines and communicates client needs and expectations.
- Ensures continuous stakeholder (client clients manager etc.) communications addressing resolving and anticipating project issues
- Participate in local and regional industry affiliated professional organizations and groups.
- Work experiences and client relationships with local and state agencies in Virginia.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS and 12 years related experience MA/MS and 10 years related experience or 15 years related experience.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Virginia is required.
- Candidate must have business development sales acumen and project management skills.
- Must be able to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of information and data.
- Must demonstrate an enterprising innovative proactive management approach.
- Must possess high levels of demonstrated leadership ability.
- Must be able to research and define multiple project scopes schedules and budgets.
- Must be able to establish and maintain rapport with clients vendors management and employees.
- Must possess strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess excellent facilitation and/or meeting skills.
- Must possess excellent presentation and communication (oral and written) skills.
- Must have Microsoft Office suite skills
- Must be able to travel as required to meet the needs and demands of the Market.
