Facilities/Shipping Coordinator
Your Day-to-Day:
- Performs necessary repairs and improvements of the building and its equipment with direction from the Operations Manager.
- Coordinates outside contractors for facility maintenance needs.
- Monitors operation of plant and facilities equipment and systems.
- Participates in plant safety health and environmental programs.
- Performs coordinates and maintains plant equipment preventative maintenance.
- 24-hour on-call status for facility emergencies.
- Manages communication and schedules with third party packaging suppliers
- Ensures all shipping and facility activities are completed as required
- Supports manufacturing activities by obtaining qualifications as necessary to support shop schedule such as machine operator blasting or painting.
- Supports shipping activities as necessary such as cycle counting pulling kits shipments.
Minimum Requirements :
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate you will bring the following to the team:
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- 3-6 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple projects and assignments able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Skilled in the use of computers including email Excel spreadsheets Word documents.
- SAP experience preferred
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently
- Effective written oral and communication skills
- Problem solving skills to reflect the levels of responsibility
- The ability to identify areas in need of immediate improvements and make recommendations on implementations.
- Results oriented and team player.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
