We are a vibrant and diverse pre-kindergarten-grade 8 Catholic school in north Seattle. We support and guide our students in their mental physical and spiritual growth of excellence service and love. Approximately 70% of our students are students of the global majority and we seek staff who will value and appreciate each student and their families. We are focused on helping each student prepare academically and be active community members and leaders in high school college and beyond.

Knowledge and Skills:

Develops engaging lesson plans and supplementary material
Differentiates instructions for multiple learning styles and cultural backgrounds
Designs and adapts instruction to meet a range of student learning needs and interests

Continues improvement and professional development
Accommodates different learning styles and instruction methodology for all learners
Uses instructional technology effectively including interactive whiteboards document cameras and Google Apps for Education
Integrates modern technologies media and other tools into instruction
Works collaboratively on behalf of students and seeks the ideas feedback or advice of colleagues
Acts as a role model by making students feel motivated and follows the school principle of PRISM (Pride Respect Inclusion Safety and Manners)
Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior through relationships positive reinforcement and support
Creates and maintains a positive classroom environment
Teaches and develops strategies to resolve conflict
Evaluates and documents academic and social growth of students
Uses data to guide student and self-improvement
Communicates regularly and thoroughly with families
Supervises and monitors students in class and during transitions
Performs other duties as assigned

Exposes students to a variety of literature
Teaches different writing genres

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required
Current Washington State Teaching Certificate
Experience working with a diverse population a plus

Salary: Depending on experience and qualifications the salary ranges from $ 46000 - $ offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.
