A respected client is currently seeking a skilled and compassionateOccupational Therapistto join their team atHilden Park Schoolin Hildenborough. Key responsibilities
Hilden Park School is an independent specialist day school located in West Kent. It provides high-quality education for a diverse group of pupils with complex educational needs communication difficulties and challenging behaviours. The school is part of a wider network of specialist schools and childrens homes that deliver one of the most integrated models in SEND.
The young people supported by the client often present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma neurodevelopmental conditions and special educational needs. The schools therapeutic approach is embedded across all aspects of education and care ensuring that every child receives consistent individualised support.
As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team the Occupational Therapist will work closely with educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation the therapist will deliver tailored interventions and engagement strategies to support each young persons development.
Occupational Therapists in this setting play a vital role in ensuring that therapeutic support is integrated into every aspect of the school day. This includes providing consultation workshops training and ongoing guidance to staff across both educational and residential teams. The role is hands-on collaborative and central to the holistic care model the client is known for.
