What can you expect in a Social Media Account Recovery Specialist role with TaskUs:
We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy Social Media Account Recovery Specialist to join our onsite customer support team. In this role you will assist users with recovering access to their social media accounts through secure and efficient processes. Working in a fast-paced call center environment you will handle sensitive user information provide empathetic support and act as a trusted point of contact for users experiencing account access issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle incoming calls and support tickets related to account access login issues and account recovery for various social media platforms.
Verify account ownership using established identity verification procedures.
Guide users through recovery steps ensuring security and privacy compliance.
Escalate complex cases to higher-tier support or specialized security teams when necessary.
Maintain accurate and detailed case documentation in internal systems.
Stay up to date with evolving security practices and platform-specific policies.
Meet or exceed daily performance metrics including response time resolution rate and customer satisfaction.
Educate users on best practices to keep their accounts secure post-recovery.
Required Qualifications:
12 years of customer service or technical support experience preferably in a call center environment.
2 years of account recovery for social media platforms
Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook Instagram Twitter/X TikTok etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Comfortable working in a structured metrics-driven environment.
Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings weekends or holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience handling account recovery or fraud prevention in a tech or social media company.
Knowledge of identity verification processes or cybersecurity basics.
Education / Certifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associates or bachelors degree a plus.

Must be able to work onsite
Must have reliable transportation
