Job Description
Access for all students to college and career options that meet their interests performance and potential. Consistent with schools focus on ELL and special education students.
Coordinating college team (Early College GEAR UP Upward Bound college/university partners)
Supporting teachers with recommendations
Collaborating with Work Based Learning team (Community Works Pre-Apprenticeship at UMASS)
Developing sharing promoting college access materials (forms videos FAQs one stop shopping)
Stand alone workshops with students families and staff
Course-based lessons and workshops
Coordinating events and college opportunities (MACAC college rep visits student tours and visits Upward Bound Posse Foundation alumni speak backs)
Coordinating SAT prep
Creating an advisory group/convening focus groups of recent grads and families
Testing strategy that advantages HHS kids (AC for ELLs accommodations school day testing)
Working w/ arts and athletics seniors and coaches and families
LICENSURE REQUIRED:SCHOOL COUNSELOR 5-12 or ALL
