2025 Summer Program SPED Nurse

Summer Program SPED Nurse is a critical figure in maintaining the safety and well-being of all participants in summer camp programs. Their responsibilities include overseeing the nursing and health needs of school-age students during summer school hours. By providing essential medical support they contribute to a positive and secure camp experience for everyone involved.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university; Masters Degree preferred;
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary license in:
- School Nurse;
- Must hold a Massachusetts RN License and have a current CPR/AED certification;
- Previous experience in the area of support is preferred;
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for nursing and health needs of school-age students during summer school hours including any medication distribution and emergency first aid for on-site and Field Trip;.
- Organization of daily schedule to provide services at one school site Field Trips must attend as scheduled;
- Maintain appropriate records;
- Communicate with the summer Director and Coordinators;
- Stipends require a Request for Payment form OR Time Sheets to be submitted at the completion of the assignments.
SALARY/HOURLY RATE:
$60.00 / hour (Certified Nurse)
Dates & hours of the program: July 7th - August 7th Monday thru Thursday 7:45-12; FHS
