PIPTO (Product Integration and Planning Tools) team owns the full-service tools suite for Devices demand planning and serves as a key tech enabler for Devices leadership meetings. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer II to drive innovation in BI tools and reporting systems with a focus on scalability automation. This role involves solving complex business problems navigating ambiguity and enabling data-driven decision-making across the Devices organization including support for cross-org fitness function metrics.
Key job responsibilities - Develop scalable automated processes for large-scale data analysis along with innovative BI tools and reporting systems to solve complex business problems. - Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders for leveraging data visualization and analytics in decision-making particularly for XPL engagement metrics across the Devices organization. Lead end-to-end project components including data gathering analysis problem-solving and communication of recommendations. - Partner with stakeholders and engineering teams to prioritize define and standardize data metrics while ensuring data accuracy and governance compliance. - Implement data governance best practices to ensure data accuracy consistency and compliance with security and privacy regulations. - Establish and implement best practices for BI development and operations to enhance team efficiency while mentoring junior members to foster growth and adoption of BI standards.
About the team PIPTO is a centralized team within the Devices Inventory Optimization org that provides a cohesive approach to support different initiatives within Devices. We envision becoming the cornerstone of data-driven decision-making empowering the organization with innovative scalable and intuitive BI solutions
- 10 years of professional or military experience - 5 years of SQL experience - Experience programming to extract transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets - Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results - Experience with AWS technologies - Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills. - Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval data science machine learning and data mining
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs - Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
