Primary Purpose:
The Support and Training Coordinator supports teaching and learning by integrating educational technology tools delivering professional development maintaining instructional software and hardware and collaborating with departments to ensure innovative and secure use of technology in instruction. This role is essential in promoting digital learning managing district technology programs and enhancing student engagement through STEAM and technology-integrated curricula.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
Bachelors degree in Instructional Technology Education or related field; Masters preferred
Valid Texas Teaching Certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong knowledge of Google for Education tools instructional software and compliance regulations.
Demonstrated ability to train adults and support staff across varying technology proficiency levels.
Exceptional communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Experience:
2-3 years technology experience
3 years classroom teaching experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Technology Integration & Support
- Design and deliver professional development for educators on Google Workspace digital tools and emerging educational technologies.
- Support teachers in integrating tools like Google Classroom Securly Screencastify PearDeck Flipgrid and more.
- Create digital content including hyperdocs breakouts badge systems and review units aligned with curriculum standards.
- Disaggregate instructional data and assist in assessment development using Eduphoria and Google tools.
Technology Program Management
- Develop and manage Google for Education certification boot camps for Level 1 Level 2 and Trainer programs.
- Support online learning environments and manage all district Google Drive transitions for students and staff.
- Oversee Chromebook management including distribution password resets and technical troubleshooting.
- Manage instructional YouTube content approval playlist creation live streaming events and VR classroom experiences.
Software & Data Privacy Oversight
- Vet and approve all instructional software apps and extensions to ensure compliance with COPPA and FERPA.
- Attend software committee meetings process software requests and manage integration with Clever SSO.
- Maintain all data privacy agreements (DPAs) and communicate directly with vendors and risk management.
Special Programs & STEAM Leadership
- Coordinate and support STEAM Clubs Fairs field trips and integration of STEAM equipment (drones 3D printers robotics).
- Provide training and support for STEAM tools and help remodel mobile STEAM units (e.g. STEAM bus).
- Assist Special Education and DEAF Education with assistive technology tools sound systems and testing accommodations.
Federal Programs & Purchasing
- Collaborate with federal program staff on instructional technology purchases and documentation for Title and STEAM budgets.
- Prepare quotes liaise with vendors and assist in aligning purchases with curriculum goals for DIP reporting.
New Teacher Orientation & Community Outreach
- Facilitate technology onboarding for new teachers including account setup introductory training.
- Create cheat sheets slide decks and deliver presentations on acceptable use social media and district technology expectations.
- Shadow new teachers and provide support and 1-1 training during their first year of teaching.
- Offer community workshops (e.g. Intro to Google at MSU Lifelong Learning Center) and engage stakeholders on Digital Learning Day.
Instructional Hardware & Interactive Panels
21. Install configure and train staff on Viewsonic Promethean and other interactive boards.
- Enroll update and troubleshoot boards and sit on evaluation panels with vendors.
District Systems Support
- Provide advanced user support for Eduphoria Securly Skyward and district-specific systems.
- Troubleshoot user access scheduling online assessments proxy tickets and staff evaluations.
- Address ad-hoc technical issues (e.g. printers projectors IPEVO pens Mimio updates).
Technology Department Support
- Design and deliver professional development for desktop technicians on Google Workspace digital tools and emerging educational technologies.
- Support desktop technicians in integrating tools like Google Classroom Securly Screencastify PearDeck Flipgrid and more for their campus staff responsibilities.
- Train desktop technicians on Viewsonic Promethean and other interactive boards. Training will be around troubleshooting and supporting teaching staff in their daily functions on these boards.
- Maintain a training calendar for reference by the Technology department including dates and times of engagement.

Climbing stooping bending and kneeling; frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment; frequent district wide travel. Occasional evening/weekend hours for events and trainings.
