The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks qualified Christian employees for this position.
Responsibilities:Assists in the design implementation and evaluation of the Center for Academic Excellence academic support program. Formulates individual academic coaching plans for assigned students. Selects administers and interprets appropriate assessment instruments. Assures continuity of operations at the Center for Academic Excellence. Designs implements and monitors the selection training scheduling and evaluation of student tutors and mentors. Provides academic advising to assigned segments of the freshman population. Assists with orientation and advising events and activities.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the Universitys mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
A Bachelors degree is required preferably in education. A teaching certificate is strongly preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years experience teaching or mentoring high school or college students is required. Experience in an institution of higher education is strongly preferred.
Basic competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing database spreadsheet e-mail presentation graphics etc.) is required.
Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required.
Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
Must agree to the Universitys Employee Statement of Understanding
