Job Description

Join JAX as an iPSC Importation Intern and gain hands-on experience in project management genetics and scientific data curation. In this role youll be instrumental in managing our iPSC catalog through our content management system ensuring accurate representation while advancing cutting-edge stem cell research.

As part of the Acquisition and Operations Team youll collaborate with experts to evaluate and integrate new hiPSC lines curate genetic data and engage with leading researchers. This internship offers a unique chance to develop technical expertise enhance communication skills and contribute meaningfully to JAXs expanding portfolio - all while making a tangible impact on the scientific community.

What Youll Contribute:

  • iPSC Catalog Management Ensure accurate documentation and seamless integration of new cell lines using the content management system.
  • Collaboration with Scientists & Portfolio Managers Evaluate scientific relevance verify technical details and resolve discrepancies with donating investigators.
  • Data Curation & Organization Maintain and manage cell line data track key milestones and uphold database accuracy for streamlined accessibility.
  • Importation Process Coordination Enhance communication and cross-department collaboration to optimize iPSC importation ensuring a smooth and timely launch of new lines.

What Youre Good At:

  • Education Currently pursuing a undergraduate degree in Biology Genetics Biomedical Sciences or a related field
  • Scientific Knowledge Familiarity with stem cell research genetic engineering and biological data management
  • Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with content management systems or scientific databases is a plus
  • Communication & Collaboration Strong ability to engage with researchers organize data and contribute to cross-functional teams
  • Project Management Ability to track key milestones manage timelines and ensure smooth importation of iPSC lines

The hourly pay rate is $20.00
