1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Business Administration or related field and 5 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for financial or cost accounting; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education knowledge skills and abilities as indicated.

3. Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws rules regulations and theories and systems associated with accounting.
4. Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective innovative and timely manner.
5. Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
6. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations groups team leaders and members and individuals.
7. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
8. If applicable for supervisory work demonstrated ability to lead subordinates manage work priorities and projects and manage employee relations.
9. Demonstrated knowledge of pertinent standard and evolving concepts principles and methodologies in the areas of asset liability revenue and expenditure accounting.
10. Ability to analyze financial statements discern trends and apply analytical techniques such as ratios to assets and liability accounts.
11. Ability to draw information from computer generated reports from online systems and prepare financial statements for departmental programs.
12. Experience using automated accounting systems.
to analyze financial transaction recording systems to discern internal control and related problems and revise portions of a complex accounting system.
Desirable Qualifications
1. Experience working with a budget in excess of $10 million.
2. Experience in writing technical specifications for computers library equipment furniture and service contracts.
3. Experience managing large special fund accounts.
4. Experience with the procuring of library materials through a automated library acquisition systems.
5. Experience working with library vendors and consortial purchasing and licensing.
6. Familiarity with the administrative service policies and procedures of the University.
7. Familiarity with the Universitys financial management system (KFS) and the integrated library system.
