The Opportunity
Join a leading construction firm renowned for its expertise in underground infrastructure projects that shape communities and drive economic growth. Key Responsibilities:
As the Project Manager - Underground Division you will oversee and coordinate underground construction projects from inception to completion ensuring they are delivered on time within scope and within budget. Your leadership will directly impact the successful execution of critical infrastructure that benefits communities and industries alike. Your responsibilities will include:
Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop comprehensive project plans including schedules budgets and resource allocation to ensure smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including clients engineers and subcontractors to align project goals and expectations.
Construction Oversight & Quality Control
- Supervise daily construction activities ensuring adherence to safety standards technical specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Utilize project management tools and site inspections to monitor progress and address issues proactively.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead multidisciplinary teams fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring clear communication across all levels.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and partners providing regular updates and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or safety incidents.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes regulations and safety protocols promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
Qualification
- 5 years of experience managing deep underground construction projects.
- Related education is preferred (CET) and direct field experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project Primavera or equivalent.
- Familiarity with underground construction techniques safety standards and industry regulations.
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems efficiently and adapt to changing project needs.
