Job Description
UMB Institutional Banking encompasses the following areas: Corporate Trust Specialty Trust & Agency Solutions Fund Services Institutional Custody Investment Banking Investor Solutions Public Finance and Healthcare Services. It combines institutionally focused capabilities into one cohesive unit serving the entire institutional marketplace from smaller correspondent banks and municipalities to the largest broker-dealers and fund companies in the United States.
This team supports the business needs and processing for Capital Markets activities including Trading and Underwriting acting as a liaison between sales team clients and systems users.
As a Safekeeping Specialist you will reconcile securities positions of our accounts with the Federal Reserve Bank and the Depository Trust Company (DTCC). You will also provide back-up and overload as needed.
How youll spend your time:
- You will calculate accrual periods and analyze security setups to ensure accurate payment activity within our system of record.
- You will reconcile and prepare customer 1099 tax statements in accordance with IRS regulations.
- You will receive and make payments of interest and principal for customer and bank portfolio holdings daily.
- You will resolve delinquent and discrepant principal and interest payments with bond issuers and paying agents.

- Associates Degree OR High School diploma or equivalent AND
- Two (2) years related banking financial or securities related experience.

Compensation Range:
$33920.00 - $65380.00The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMBs standard for this role but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location experience level and other job-related factors.
