Chief Operations Officer (COO) - Hybrid schedule - Salary 150
Independent insurance agency is seeking a COO to join their team. 5 years in the insurance industry with significant experience in operations or leadership is a must. Commercial real estate or healthcare experience is highly preferred. Looking for this person to be comfortable wearing many hats.
Partnering with the CEO the COO will have overarching responsibility for all day-to-day operations.
Daily Responsibilities: Manage the team build out and develop business and operational strategies responsible for all financial accounting and budgeting etc.
Additional Key Responsibilities:
- Significant experience handling financials year end taxes etc
- Has a working knowledge of the Software: AMS360.
- Improve daily organization and workflows to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
- Collects and analyzes data for implications regarding budget project and/or program initiatives.
- Oversees implements and refines agency budget proforma financials and company operations to ensure company targets for revenue and profitability are met.
- Maintains and builds trusted relationships with key customers partners vendors management and stakeholders.
- Supports the CEO in all aspects of the business and operations.
- Responsible for hiring training firing and overall employee retention
Skills:
- 5 years in the insurance industry with significant experience in operations.
- Previous experience as a department head team leader or senior level position within an insurance agency carrier or broker.
- Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Strong insurance knowledge in Real Estate Healthcare or Construction preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills along with exceptional time management and attention to detail.
- Prefer someone tech savvy and adaptable
