Description of the Position:
I am looking for a research assistant to help me with the preparation of a new course I will be teaching in the Fall LAMST 120: Latin America: Introduction to a Continent. The position will involve searching for and reviewing potential readings videos etc. to use for the course and writing up short reviews/evaluations of them in terms of content difficulty/accessibility potential student interest etc. from a students perspective. We would meet virtually once a week or so to discuss the materials and their reviews. Some knowledge of Latin America would be helpful but isnt necessary.
Transferable Skills:
Library and internet research for and reviewing and summarizing of academic articles and chapters other kinds of texts videos and other possible course materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Library and internet research for and reviewing and summarizing of: academic articles book chapters and other kinds of texts; videos; other possible course materials.

Experience doing library and internet research for various kinds of materials including texts and media.
