Position Overview
Preparesoil and growth media cultivate and participate in horticultural activities under supervision on acreage in nursery or inanenvironmentally controlled structure such asa greenhouse orshedby performing the following duties.
Pay is based on experience $18-$21 per hour.
Job Duties
What Youll Do:
- Grow your green career with us!
- Enhance the appearance and value of properties through the cultivation of shrubs and trees.
- Plant spray weed fertilize and water plants shrubs and trees.
- Perform proper pruning to prevent girdling roots and promote a central leader on trees.
- Transplant seedlings cuttings trees and shrubs.
- Prepare trees for pickup through the process of balling and burlapping.
- Load and unload materials containerized shrubs plants and trees.
- Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems.
- Drive use maintain and properly operate landscape equipment.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age to be a Department of Transportation (DOT) certified driver for specific vehicles or equipment.
Ability to complete required safety courses upon hire.
Ability to complete Davey Career Development Program (CDP) books.
Valid drivers license may be required for some positions.
DOT medical card or ability to obtain one to be a Davey Qualified Driver for some positions.
