Key job responsibilities

Define design and implement multi-tier distributed software applications.
Estimate support effort plan implementation of quality features and rollout system changes that meet requirements for functionality performance scalability reliability and adherence to development goals and principles.
Must be able to effectively collaborate in a fast paced environment with multiple teams in a large organization (software development QA Project/Release Management Build and Release etc).
Provide on-call production support for payment platform applications

A day in the life
You will work independently and with the team to deliver key projects and initiatives. Day-to-day activities includes (but is not limited to) daily standup sprint planning development (design scoping implementation and launch) and on-call.

About the team
Our mission is to provide a feature rich highly available platform that simplifies payments for our customers. We own the platform that powers payments for all Amazon businesses worldwide (e.g. AWS etc.). We are a full-stack team. Our services support the seamless low-friction checkout experience and advanced features that include multi-tender payments order-level payments revise and various customer present workflows utilized by Amazons retail consumer business.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114800/year up to $191800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
