Pay: Base $23.00 (This position also includes a $2.00 per hour night shift differential which equals $25.00)

We hire great people and treat them very well. Now theHarvestteam is looking to add job is located at Hendersonville NC greenhouse.
Job purpose:
Responsible for coordinating the daily harvest plan and harvest crew in a safe and efficient manner. Follows supervisors instructions in adhering to standardized practices with emphasis on achieving required results.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise the harvest and sowing crew in daily operations to ensure daily plan and goals are met corrects errors and provides feedback when needed.
- Train and educate crew in operating procedures with emphasis on safety and food safety.
- Adhere to all current SOPs procedures inspections and quality requirements.
- Communicate with supervisor when irregularities with product or equipment occur.
- Create daily harvest and sowing plan under guidance of supervisor and make decisions as instructed.
- Ensure accurate record keeping of performed testing and recording charts are properly documented according to company and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure harvest and sowing crew maintains a safe clean organized work area and performs periodic sanitation as required.
- Report food safety and quality problems to Supervisor the SQF Practitioner or directly to Senior Management.
Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience in a production environment or related work experience
- Food or agriculture industry experience preferred.
- Training in Food Safety and Sanitation
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures safety rules label mixing instructions.
- Ability to fulfill routine logs related to food safety and inspection reports.
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide using whole numbers.
Working conditions:
Greenhouse/Warehouse/Coolers. Employees will have frequent exposure to seasonal conditions which may range from extreme heat and humidity in the summer to cold in the winter. Will spend some time inside of near freezing coolers. Often working near moving mechanical parts. There will be exposure to cleaning chemicals. The noise level of machines and cooling units can be loud.
Physical requirements:
While performing the duties of this job employees are expected to constantly use hands to finger handle or feel as well as talk and hear. There is frequent standing walking reaching with hands and arms as well as stooping kneeling crouching and climbing. The lifting requirements are to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds often lift up to 25 pounds and constantly lift up to 10 pounds. The employee should have clear correctable vision at close and distance range as well as peripheral vision to notice safety hazards.
