This position is non-exempt
General Statement of Duties: Entry level clerical support involved in the processing and maintaining of the Sheriffs Office records system including: Computer input; VIN inspections; logging and tracking evidence; preparing investigation case folders; assisting investigators in copying files for court and the District Attorney and in filing Requests for Prosecutions. Provides clerical support to office staff.
Supervision Received: Works under the supervision of the Records/Evidence Supervisor.
Supervision Exercised: None.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience: One (1) year experience in general office. Any combination of education training and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities required for the job.
Required Knowledge:
Language Skills: Ability to understand both verbal and written instruction/direction and to coherently speak the English language. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officers outside agencies office personnel and the public.
Computer Skills: Modern office technology and equipment including computers and related software applications.Working knowledge of database manipulation spread sheets and word-processing. Learn specific software associated with the position and/or organization.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to tolerate and be productive in a quiet to moderate noise level in the work place. Employee will have periodic exposure to hazards in the field such as driving and inclement weather.
Special Requirements: Must possess a valid Colorado Drivers License with a satisfactory driving record. Subject to pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
