Lays out reference points and assembles structures according to blueprints and engineering specifications using hand tools and portable power tools. May prepare the chassis body pump house and tank prior to merging together.
Responsibilities:
- Confers with liaison personnel to determine assembly priorities
- Reads blueprints and engineering specifications to plan assembly of structures
- Cuts and trims parts according to layout using hand tools and portable power tools such as grinders and plasma torches.
- Fits and assembles component structural parts preparatory to final assembly using hand and power tools.
- Installs various components onto structures using hand and power tools
- Reworks assembled structures according to engineering specification changes.
- Performs other work as assigned
Requirements (education experience travel physical work environment):
- Must possess a HS Diploma GED or equivalent
- Must be able to read and understand English
- Must be able to read tape measure
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic; Be a team player
- Must be able to climb twist bend and stoop.
- Must have use of hands and be able to work over-head.
- Must be able to stand squat and grasp.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
