Job Description

The following position is available in the West Springfield Public School system beginning with the 2025/2026 school year:Elementary SEBS Program Teacher - Coburn Elementary SchoolWe are looking for a teacher with experience teaching elementary students with Social Emotional and Behavioral difficulties. These students are taught in a small sub-separate environment. Qualifications: - Provide training to staff regarding proper implementation of behavioral programming teaching strategies and data collection -Trained and certified in de-escalation techniques- Attend IEP meetings and develop IEPs for students in the program.- Monitor and support the implementation and effectiveness of skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming and make changes/recommendations to enhance progress- Provide regular consultation services to teachers and support staff- Facilitate inclusion opportunities into the general education setting and community settings- Collaborate with specialists to implement procedures within the classroom setting to assist with carryover of skills targeted in general education setting- Help in the development of functional behavior assessments and prepare and analyze results- Monitor and contribute behavior support plans and development- Consult with families/guardians and coordinate care/home services and wrap around providers- Carry out other related duties as may be designatedSalary: Per Unit A ContractSchedule: Full-time Mon-Fri 35 hours per week. This position is for 10 months during the school year.
