E-2/C-2 Airborne Command and Control Systems Program Office (PMA-231) provides the E-2C Hawkeye E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Hawkeye 2000 and the C-2A Greyhound fleet with acquisition strategy logistics and sustainment solutions in support of the warfighters mission.
Job Summary:
KBR has an opening for a Junior Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified diverse individuals in our Lexington Park MD location. This role will be in support of PMA 231. In this role you will be responsible for the administration of IT infrastructure configuration of system hardware and software including compliance with all Information Assurance (IA) requirements
Role and Responsibilities:
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment including updating existing software installation of new software resolution of software issues and repairing or replacing hardware components
Provides user support for operating systems peripherals and applications
Implements flaw remediation installing security patches / hot fixes software suite updates firmware updates
Utilizes your IT expertise perform technical evaluations of information technology systems / components and document findings that will be used in assessing IT infrastructure upgrades
Performs all other duties that may be assigned to support the lab environment and users including media transfers and documentation of all IT maintenance activities
Monitors network performance (availability utilization throughput goodput and latency) and test for weaknesses
Test analyze and deploy interconnection(s) to other isolated LANs as needed ensuring security and connectivity
Configures deploy and maintain boundary devices (e.g. managed switches proxy servers routers firewalls cryptography and intrusion detection systems) as a collateral duty
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science information technology cybersecurity or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience is required
Two (2) years of experience with computer systems hardware software information systems & peripheral equipment such as servers desktops printers and storage devices
Current Information Assurance Tech (IAT) Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M or the ability to gain the IAT-Level II certification within 6 months is required
A current Top-Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years is required; The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Must be able to work on-site remote work is not permitted.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of NIST 800-53 or DoD 5205.07 Series or Risk Management Framework and Joint SAP Implementation Guide requirements or NMCI-Helpdesk / Network Policy.
Experience with analyzing Intrusion Prevention Systems / Intrusion Detection Systems logs / output access control lists.
Knowledge of performance monitoring upgrading and patching backup and recovery as well as troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Experience working independently and as part of a team in researching data developing analytical techniques and methodologies.
Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
Experience with virtual environments such as VMware Cloud Foundation including VMware vCenter NSX-T and the VMware Aria Suite.
Experience with Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
Must have the ability to work with small teams and interface with customers and senior managers.

40 hours/week
Compensation:
$79750 - $119680
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates location knowledge skills abilities and/or experience contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity.
