Job Description
AMSA is seeking a seasoned ICT Project Manager to lead the delivery of strategically important technology initiatives. The successful candidate must be outcome-focused take full ownership from initiation through to close and demonstrate confidence in managing stakeholders vendors and internal delivery teams.
We are looking for a Project Manager with technical aptitude (but not responsible for technical delivery) someone who is naturally curious and invested in understanding the solutions they are delivering so they can ask the right questions and maintain alignment across all layers of the project.
This role requires strong ownership structured delivery capability stakeholder credibility and a proactive approach to risk management and problem-solving. Exceptional communication skills are essential both written and verbal to ensure clarity influence and alignment across diverse audiences.

Essential criteria 1. A track record of delivering technology products in large organisations 2. A demonstrated understanding of what makes for a great developer experience for external users 3. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams that follow agile and user-centred design practices 4. Experience working on large Government transformation programs highly regarded Desirable criteria 1. Knowledge, experience of, and relationships with the agriculture technology industry 2. Delivery of technology to support regulatory decision-making processes 3. Experience delivering to the Australian Government Digital Service Standard
