Job Description

Our Tires Digital Solutions team at our location Hannover-Stcken develops the latest most innovative digital tire management systems and we want you to join us!

We are a global diverse and very agile team that gives our people the freedom to act. We create tire solutions that make a difference for fleets and vehicle manufacturers around the globe. And we do it all from ideation and product development to logistics marketing brand management and customer care.

Our team is growing and is looking for students starting July 2025 and staying for at least 12 months that would like to develop skills in the area of data science and data analysis. Together with our colleagues you would have the opportunity to:

  • Prototype machine learning models for our new products or business areas
  • Prototype data visualizations and data pipelines/models
  • Work in the field of Analytics to discover new potential patterns and insights from data
  • Analyse relevant information about our hardware markets customers and competitors
  • Keep up-to-date with business & technology trends and disseminate amongst peers & team members
  • Work in a startup-type environment with access to cross-functional and international teams to support a wide variety of projects.

Qualifications :

  • Enrolled student (m/f/diverse) in Computer Science Business Informatics Mathematics Electrical Engineering Physics or related study programs
  • Good knowledge of programming (Python and/or C/C preferred) with first experience in programming with AI frameworks (e.g. pytorch huggingface etc.)
  • Good knowledge of quantitative statistical methods and machine learning foundations
  • Good knowledge of SQL and databases
  • Interest in building flexible data pipelines and visualizing insights using or learning tools like KNIME SPSS Power BI or Tableau
  • Familiarity with optimization problems and experience with GPS data (e.g. OSRM or Valhalla) are beneficial
  • Fluency in English language is essential (written & spoken); German is a plus
  • Ability to overlook analyze and visualize complex information
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • High interest in automotive industry
