The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) is the largest Fire Department in the United States and universally is recognized as the worlds busiest and most highly skilled emergency response agency. The Departments main goal is to provide fire protection emergency medical care and other critical public safety services to residents and visitors in the five boroughs. The Fire Department City of New York (FDNY) seeks a full-time Community Coordinator in the Bureau of Health Services within Counseling Service Unit. Reporting directly to the CSU Director the successful candidate will:
main phone line for CSU.
appointments and help clients with any questions they have regarding CSUs services.
directly with staff to ensure current/important information is relayed in a timely manner.
CSUs Mental Health Record Database and Archival System.
all Mental Health Records requested by FDNY members law firms NYCERS Pension Board ensuring all documentation is collected filed and prepared for delivery.
staff entering charts into CSUs database Archival System and for special events.
the guidance of CSUs deputy director completes administrative work in the capacity of assistant/secretary to the deputy director.
the temporary absence of the deputy director may assume specific duties to that position.
COMMUNITY COORDINATOR - 56058
Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
