Job Description

Do you enjoy being part of a team Looking for some extra perks that come along with the job Look no further.... you can be part of the Gallogly College of Engineering Team where you will perform office duties and coordinate support for undergraduate students in the School of Sustainable Chemical Biological and Materials Engineering. You will work closely with students faculty staff and other departments across campus. Essential Duties:

  • Performs office duties and coordination in support of student programs or services.
  • Maintains files indicating student progress letters of recommendations transcripts etc. as required.
  • Assists students by providing information pertaining to lectures exams financial aid textbook procurement etc.
  • Interfaces with Student Services in matters concerning grades transcripts and student status.
  • Interfaces with faculty and/or staff while representing the department in order to explain the program gather information needed to facilitate scheduling etc.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
  • Engage in student recruiting activities
  • Coordinate classroom scheduling
  • Coordinate student scholarship applications and selections
  • Prepare curriculum modifications
  • Coordinate undergrad student advising

Required Education: High School diploma or GED AND:

  • 12 months of office; clerical experience.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
  • General office skills such as phone copying faxing filing and handling mail
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook Excel Word)
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Ability to learn new software systems

Certifications:

  • None

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to engage in repetitive motion and communicate effectively.
  • Standard office environment.
