Departmental Analyst 9-P11 (E Level)
The Contract Analyst performs the following functions for standard or routine contracts executed by the position: develops contract specifications agreements procedures instructions develops manual material assists in training department staff in contracting develops fiscal guidelines resolves contract problems prepares contract amendments and budget adjustments prepares reports of contracts and contract activities assists in obtaining legally required contract approvals and oversees negotiation and execution of contracts.
Position Description
Departmental Analyst 12 (A level)
The Senior Contract Analyst handles complex functions for contracts executed in the Bureau of Grants and Purchasing. This position has the responsibility for the development of complex statewide contract packages from other units. This includes final review and approval to most complex contract types and documents. This position determines that each contract is in compliance with federal regulations department policy and state law. This position develops training packages coordinates presentation with other units and may conduct training for MDHHS staff and contractors. This position works closely with department staff to ensure procurement needs are met by gathering information researching options and providing guidance. This position handles complex duties through meeting approved senior standards.

Education
Possession of a bachelors degree in any major.
Experience
Departmental Analyst 9
No specific type or amount is required.
Departmental Analyst 10
One year of professionalexperience.
Departmental Analyst P11
Two years of professionalexperience including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
Departmental Analyst 12
Three years of professionalexperience including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
The physical location of this position isGrand Tower Building 235 S. Grand Ave. Lansing MI.Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.
Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely and must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
