ChristianaCare is hiring a full time Patient Guide for our Helen F. Graham Cancer Center in Newark DE.
Patient Guides at Helen F. Graham Cancer Center manage patient arrivals visitor needs traffic parking and safety providing assistance transportation and physical assistance.
Schedule:
Monday- Friday 7:30a - 4:00p
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Helps coordinate patient flow activities related to building entrances and main reception desks including but not limited to greeting and directing patients and physically assisting them into and out of their vehicles and wheelchairs when necessary.
Assists with coordinating patients and transport vehicles and services.
Oversee and assist with traffic flow directing vehicles as necessary to ensure accessibility and safety at building entrances.
Directs delivery vehicles to the delivery entrance.
Coordinates wheelchair activity by ensuring they are kept in good working order kept in appropriate location and available for patient use.
Demonstrates compliance with ChristianaCare and departmental policies and procedures and mandatory education requirements including but not limited to safety infection control attendance and dress code.
Performs assigned work safely adhering to established departmental and system-wide safety rules and practices.
Reports suspicious or dangerous activity within building at entrance or in parking lots to public safety to ensure patient visitor and staff safety.
Assist public safety officers and follow protocols for various code alerts.
Perform related duties and other ancillary tasks as needed per management.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Customer service experience preferred
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift 20lbs and push patients in wheelchairs
