We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Clean Room Monitoring Technician to support environmental monitoring and sampling activities in controlled cleanroom and manufacturing environments. This role is essential to ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintaining the integrity of our biopharmaceutical production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine environmental monitoring of cleanrooms and controlled process areas in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
- Collect samples from high-purity water systems clean steam and compressed gases.
- Accurately document and manage samples following established GMP procedures.
- Maintain and manage inventory of laboratory supplies media and reagents.
- Support laboratory operations including equipment cleaning operation of the autoclave and general lab upkeep.
- Assist in the scheduling and coordination of equipment maintenance and calibrations.
- Enter and track sample and test data using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Participate in weekend holiday and on-call rotations as required to support 24/7 operations.
- Assist with the training and onboarding of new technicians.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards within cleanroom environments.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Life Sciences or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
- Fundamental understanding of microbiology including microbial contamination and control methods
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Self-motivated adaptable and maintains a positive proactive attitude
- Capable of learning new techniques managing multiple tasks simultaneously maintaining accurate documentation and following standard procedures and company policies
- Proficient in computer use with solid scientific and organizational skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction or the need for current or future sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in biopharmaceutical biotechnology or related industries
- Hands-on experience with environmental monitoring in cleanroom or GMP-regulated environments
- Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Additional Information
This position is an indoor lab-based position working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:
- No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup false lashes spray tans etc) are permitted and must be removed before entry
- Nails must be kept short trimmed and unadorned (no nail polish rhinestones etc)
- No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)
- Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.
Ability to meet physical demands including but not limited to routinely lifting objects of 25 lbs or more walking and standing for extended periods pushing or pulling carts and equipment and bending down or reaching for supplies.

Additional Details:
The position is full-time second shift Wednesday Saturday 12:30 pm 11:00 pm. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes requiring shift changes and/or weekend work and overtime may be required as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer New York are encouraged to apply.
