The role of the Senior Pricing Analyst is to help drive margin improvement across the Calderys EMEA business - 3 different business segments and various countries (c. 100 sales org 3500 products 2000 customers 600M annual revenue). You will be responsible for leading in-depth pricing analysis and developing models that optimize profitability and competitiveness across our products. You will work cross-functionally with Sales Marketing and Finance to ensure pricing decisions align with company goals and market dynamics. As a key member of our newly established Pricing Department you will play an active role in the implementation of new pricing tools such as Vendavo and Power BI Dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute pricing strategies to drive revenue growth and margin expansion.
- Build and maintain pricing models assess pricing impact and support decision-making processes.
- Monitor pricing performance metrics set during the budget process including margin analysis and pricing effectiveness.
- Conduct scenario analysis and elasticity modelling to evaluate the impact of pricing changes.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership on pricing trends opportunities and risks.
- Ensure pricing governance and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with Finance Purchasing and Sales to address significant variances in underlying cost drivers of the price database such as raw material market forecasts and internal raw material costs.
- A new pricing tool will go live in Q4 2025; this role will be crucial in its roll-out and maintenance.
- Continuously enhance pricing tools to strengthen our value proposition and competitive positioning.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in finance Economics Business Mathematics or related field; Masters preferred.
- 5 years of experience in pricing financial analysis or strategy preferably in a B2B or B2C environment.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills with the ability to manage/interpret complex data and draw actionable insights
- Understanding of business drivers underlying market dynamics like steel automotive construction and industry trends impacting pricing decisions as well as expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong financial and commercial knowledge particularly in profit and loss and margin/price decision-making. Proven experience in pricing roles.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate cross-functionally and influence decision-making processes.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in pricing analysis and modelling.
- Familiarity with pricing tools or software (e.g. Vendavo Zilliant Salesforce) is a plus.
