Job Description

The Administrative and Operations Analyst will provide administrative support for the Department of Surgery at ZSFG in the areas of finance HR IT and programmatic support. This position will support central divisional business operations including financial reporting supply chain management event planning IT troubleshooting and space planning.

This position will work closely with administrative leadership and the Trauma and Acute Care faculty leadership to develop and implement strategic plans and will perform and oversee special projects and assignments that are highly sensitive or complex in nature requiring a high level of independence and initiative in execution and implementation.

This individual must be able to work independently demonstrate excellent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and partner effectively with the department leadership and members of the divisions clinical research and administrative teams.

  • 3 years Administration operations program coordination or related
  • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills to interact with faculty staff and trainees with a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
  • Knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as (but not limited to) event planning risk management facilities compliance onboarding etc.
  • Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs including Outlook Word Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong skills in short-term planning analysis problem solving and customer service.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills including ability to concurrently prioritize and manage a variety of tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and learn new skills effectively and professionally in a fast-paced environment sometimes under pressure remaining positive flexible proactive and efficient.


    • Thorough knowledge of University and ZSFG administrative rules and regulations processes protocols and procedures related to medical staff management clinical operations personnel and/or financial management.
